Outpatient

Levels of Care

Outpatient Services offer support for anyone looking to further or continue recovery. In our convenient Manchester facility, Farnum offers individual counseling sessions as well as a variety of outpatient groups throughout the week. Whether you are looking for continuation of care upon completing a residential program by engaging in an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) or for more specific short-term services such as license restoration, family support, and/or working towards getting back in touch with your own personal goals, our skilled team of clinicians are here to help!

Farnum is one of the area’s trusted rehab facilities, providing alcohol and substance use treatment options. We accept both private insurance and Medicaid for clients seeking recovery from substance use disorders and offer comprehensive addiction support tailored to your needs.

Farnum is proud to welcome Veterans and those with prior Military service and their spouses, seeking addiction recovery support. In collaboration with services provided by Veterans Count, we are able to offer specialized services designed to meet the unique needs of those who have served.

Assessment

Clients engaging in treatment services will meet with a clinician, specifically trained and licensed to support those with alcohol or substance use disorder. This assessment will determine the best level of care to meet your unique needs.

Your initial assessment appointment can be made by calling 603.836.6754. For your convenience, we also offer walk-in hours for assessments, every Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Group & Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling sessions with a clinician trained and licensed to support clients with alcohol and substance use disorders allow for customized care tailored to the person’s unique needs, history, and recovery goals. This one-on-one therapy provides a safe, confidential space where individuals can explore the root causes of addiction, process shame, guilt, or grief, and better understand behavioral patterns that contribute to substance use. Individual sessions can be scheduled by calling 603.836.6754.

Group Counseling sessions with a Clinician trained and licensed to support clients with alcohol and substance use disorders connect individuals who are facing similar challenges. Hearing stories from other clients can reduce isolation and stigma and reinforce that you are not alone. As addiction often leads to feelings of disconnection, Group Counseling sessions build a sense of community, belonging, and mutual understanding as well as the opportunity to learn coping strategies for how others handle triggers, cravings, or setbacks. Participation in Group can be scheduled by calling 603.836.6754.

Farnum recently added two featured groups: Helping Men Recover Group and a Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Group for women. These groups can also be a strong fit for Veterans seeking support for trauma and reintegration challenges.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Farnum offers a variety of Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) schedules to best accommodate your busy life. In IOP at our Lake Ave location in Manchester, you will typically participate in clinical groups three times per week for three hours each day. We are currently offering an in-person morning IOP from 9 AM to 12 PM. During IOP, you will connect and build relationships with others while working closely with your clinician to develop a treatment and aftercare plan that supports your recovery. Our IOP schedules are also a supportive option for Veterans seeking substance use disorder support or a step-down level of care after residential treatment.

Court-Mandated Evaluations

Farnum offers evaluations that meet court-mandated requirements as well as DUI Services, with Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC Evaluations). Our licensed clinicians are trained to provide treatment for clients with co-occurring disorders, both mental health and substance use disorders. This includes tailored services for Veterans experiencing addiction or mental health concerns.
